Garden for Pottering

The existing garden was bland grass with no interest at all. The clients were down-sizing from a large garden and wanted a garden which is full of character with several sitting areas each with a different feel. The design response was to create a garden consisting of paths winding to the separate areas. The slope of the garden was used to create planted borders on different levels that are easily accessible for pottering around, doing a bit of weeding or dead heading here and there.  A small vegetable bed is included and a black current bush, rhubarb and herbs are mixed through the other planting.  It was important to the clients that the new conservatory felt like it was in the garden, surrounded by plants.
