We knew nothing about plants, however Heather listened to our high level ideas, and what we wanted from the garden. Using a system of reviewing many pictures of plants, gardens and various scenes we formed an inital set of rquiremnts and plant types. From there, very detailed planting, layout and maintenance plans were created and were used by the builders and planters. We wanted a garden that was not too structured and the focus to be on the plants themselves; the result is a beautiful garden that far exceeds our expectaions. Follow up questions and advice has been equally superb. Heather's impressive depth of knowledge on all things plants, ideas and creativity made this an easy and enjoyable process. Heather has transformed my garden and given me a framework for future works. I had an overgrown area that had been neglected for decades and didn't know where to start with it. Heather carried out a thorough review, discussed my preferences, and came up with plans for immediate and future works, Heather sourced plants that arrived in excellent condition and have absolutely taken off, providing something new every week. After moving into a brand new house with only earth and a patio in the garden, we sought Heather’s help on the recommendation of a friend. Heather visited the site and listened to our wishes and likes then came up with a beautiful design that featured curved lawns, paths, a rockery and pergola. The trees and shrubs were suited to our location and orientation and ordered by Heather and delivered to the door. We wished to undertake the work ourselves and Heather was happy with this and popped in occasionally to see how things were going and suggested people to help where we needed it. After a few reiterations we got to the design I wanted. Her work methodology and attention to detail really stood out. We gave Heather what must have seemed quite an unattractive brief - to redesign about one third of our garden including the small front garden and a side passage, together with visually shielding a recent extension by a neighbour. We were delighted with the approach she used to allow us to articulate things we liked, and we ended up with a highly innovative use of the space through a design that was both practical and attractive. When I asked someone to design a garden for us, we were hoping for someone who would listen to our wishes, who would design our garden *with* us (as well as for us), and who would arrange for the plan to be implemented capably. Heather did all these things,for us, and she did them in a punctual, sensitive (not unimportant when you share the garden with neighbours!), and tasteful manner, without breaking the limits of our budget. The result is very pleasing.

Heather listened to our our thoughts and wishes, added some ideas of her own and the result was fantastic. We were presented with a beautiful illustrated design, a comprehensive plant care list and a step by step guide on how to achieve the vision. We enlisted her help for the actual planting stage too and we now have a lovely garden that has survived 4 children playing in it and more recently, a very energetic puppy!
